 Broadstreet House is situated on the outskirts of the village of Lyminge just seven miles from the town of Folkestone.  It is a large Georgian Country House which has been extended twice, once in Victorian times and more recently by Family Investments.

Lyminge has won the coveted award of “Best Village in Kent” for it’s community spirit, and justly so.  The villagers always ensure that Broadstreet House is given the opportunity to participate in local events and activities.

The house was opened in June 1995, currently with 16 bedrooms, most of which have en-suite facilities. There are numerous communal rooms, some of which retain the original Georgian features of high ceilings and beautifully sculpted fireplaces.  The attractive grounds of 2.5 acres are surrounded by Etchinghill Golf Course.

The 16 residents lead full, active lives, helping run their own home, under the leadership of Home Manager Diedre Law and her Staff.  They are encouraged to take part in decisions that affect them, whether it be choice of holiday venue or choice of decor in their own bedroom.  Healthcare is an important issue and the local surgery is just a short walk from the home. Residents are encouraged to use the village amenities such as a local library, post office and local shops and even the public house.
